SIDE EVENT : "Soil, Forest and Agriculture: what are the challenges to face climate change in Madagascar ?"
In the context of climate change and to prepare COP21 negotiations in Paris-2015, a side event of “Our Common Future under Climate Change (CFCC)” and labelled “COP21” event by the General Secretary of the COP21-CMP11, entitled "Soil, Forest and Agriculture: what are the challenges to face climate change in Madagascar" was held on June 22nd, 2015 at the Hotel Panorama, Antananarivo, Madagascar, under the High Patronage of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Madagascar. This international conference was organized by the LRI in consortium with the IRD, the GTCC, the MESupReS and BNCCC.
The conference started by official speeches of: the Director of the Laboratoire des RadioIsotopes, following by representatives of GTCC, University of Antananarivo, IRD, French Embassy, and the Ministry of Scientific Research. This event was labelled of the General Secretary of COP21-CMP11 (Paris in November-December 2015). The COCAC of French Embassy , in his speech, had emphasised the importance of this event as an "excellent opportunity for scientists, policy makers and public to share knowledge and experiences, to explore, and identify innovative solutions, and then to prepare Madagascar’s contribution for COP21..."
